AUC plays a central role in the route-based approach by supporting migration research, aligning methodologies, and standardizing terminology within MENA. Scholars contribute to research triangulation, integrating IOM’s primary data with secondary sources. This collaboration leads to informed policy recommendations addressing migration drivers and protection needs. MHub supports the production of policy briefs, integrating findings into training programs for young researchers. It organizes regional dialogues and annual conferences, fostering engagement between academia, policymakers, and migration practitioners. It will also leads the re-establishment of the Mixed Migration Task Force (MMTF) to coordinate efforts and align migration policies with regional trends.
